You're an Open Water Diver and you're looking to expand your underwater horizons and make more amazing diving adventures, perhaps to some of the deeper dive sites such as The Blue Hole, the Orange Coral reef or the Tuna Wrecks. You can also expand your Rescue knowledge and skills on the Diver Stress and Rescue Course so you become a safer, better prepared and equiped dive buddy.
To achieve these deeper more adventurous dives you need to know all about the knowledge, skills and equipment that is required and gain some diving experience too. The Advanced Open Water Diver programme is ideal for this. Before you know it you'll be an Advanced Diver, a Rescue Diver or even a Master Diver!
Advanced Adventure Diver CourseYou'll take part in 5 different Adventure dives that give you a taster of 5 different specialty courses and the theory for each different type of diving. You'll be taking in part in the Deep Adventure Dive and the Navigation Adventure Dive, building upon your Open Water training to become an Advanced Adventurer. Complete 3 more adventure dives and the e-learning to achieve your Advanced Adventurer Diver certification and be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 30m. You can choose from: Boat, Wreck, Perfect Buoyancy, Waves, Tides and Currents, Photography & Videography, Night & Limited Visabilty and Enriched Air Nitrox. As an Advanced Adventure Diver you'll have had a taster of some of the available specialty courses but you are not certified in the specialites so for example you will not be a certified Nitrox Diver so you would not be able to obtain and dive on Nitrox. To extend you diver knowledge and skills even further you might be interested in taking the full Deep Diver certification course to be certified to the maximum recreational diving depth of 40m or to be certified to dive on Nitrox. If this is where you are heading you might be interested in the Advanced Open Water Diver Programme. | Advanced Open Water Diver ProgrammeComplete 4 specialty courses and have 25 logged dives and you'll become a truly Advanced Scuba Diver. Choose 4 specialty courses from the wide range on offer with Island Watersports. Specialty Course options include: To become a SSI Advanced Diver at least 2 of the specialty certifications must be with SSI, so if you already hold a specialty certification with another training agency it can count towards your SSI Advanced Open Water Diver rating. Please email val@divelanzarote.com with your certifications and she will send you details of your options. If you can't wait to get started on the theory and then do the training dives as you go along we can organise that for you too. Please email val@divelanzarote.com and send her details of what you would like to do. |

Rescue Diver CourseRefresh your own self-rescue techniques and learn how to spot another diver in distress and how to help them. Learn to spot the signs of a panicking diver on the surface and how to provide assistance without endangering yourself and hopefully without having to even get into the water! You'll also have underwater scenarios to problem solve including a responsive underwater distressed diver. You'll also learn how to recognise and respond to a non-responsive diver underwater, surfacing with them and bringing them to shore. Combine this with your CPR and First Aid courses, a prerequisite for the Rescue Diver certification, and you'll be putting it all into practice. Many divers say this is the best course they ever took! |
Master Scuba Diver ProgrammeOne step on from the Advanced Diver Programme is the Master Diver Programme. To qualify for this diver rating you must have the following: Let us know once you've achieved all of this as we can put through your Master Scuba Diver. |
